Peace in Zimbabwe all the way

Peace has been prevailing in Zimbabwe during this election period due to President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s call for the country to be peaceful and to maintain peace as we build the Zimbabwe we all want.

Addressing thousands of Zanu PF supporters at the National Sports Stadium during the Harare Metropolitan Province Star Rally, President Mnangagwa said as Zimbabweans we build a new Zimbabwe on the basis of peace, love and harmony.

“We build our new Zimbabwe on the basis of peace love and harmony. We preach peace, we want peace, unity and harmony among our people,” he said.

President Mnangagwa said Zanu PF and Zimbabweans would not allow violence to prevail.

“Those who want to be violent we say no. Zimbabwe will never again allow violence. All sections of our society love peace,” he said.

President Mnangagwa said that with Monday being the end of a long campaign trail Zimbabwe has remained peaceful and respectful.

“Monday marks the end of the journey. We have been peaceful, respectful and dignified,” he said.

The peace prevailing in the country has also been hailed by Bishop Nehemiah Mutendi as he said the peace in Zimbabwe was all thanks to President Mnangagwa, a man of peace and humility.

BBC also alluded to the fact that the peace prevailing in Zimbabwe during this election period was the first in the history of Zimbabwe’s election since the time of former President Robert Mugabe.
