Be patient with government-Gutu residents told

ZANU PF Gutu Central Constituency House of Assembly Member Minister Winston Chitando has urged people to be patient with Government as it tries to implement measures which will turn around the economy.

Minister Chitando said this during a Constituency Development Meeting in Gutu over the weekend where more than a thousand people were in attendance.

The Minister emphasised that President Emmerson Mnangagwa`s major thrust is to revive the Education, Agriculture and Mining Sectors as they are the major drivers to the country`s economic recovery.

The Minister of Mines and Mining Development revealed that the Mining Sector should contribute US $12 billion towards the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) by 2023.

Minister Chitando spearheaded numerous developmental projects in his Constituency which include the construction of a mortuary and a laundry section at Gutu Rural District Hospital and another mortuary at Chimombe clinic.

He is in the process of replacing a ZESA transformer at Mashayavanhu Secondary School which was stolen some time back.

The innovative Minister has also transformed lives of school pupils from his Constituency through the initiation of garlic projects and has pledged to donate 10 tonnes of garlic seed in various schools by 2020. Same donated 20 litres of cooking oil and RTGs1000 to each of the 37 Schools in his Constituency to be used as prizes to excelling students in the 2019 end of year examinations.
