The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has assured the public that the country remains peaceful, with law enforcement officers actively conducting patrols to ensure security and order.

In a statement posted on their official social media platform X, the ZRP urged citizens to go about their daily activities without fear.

"The ZRP assures the public that the situation in the country is peaceful. As police officers conduct patrols, the public should feel free to embark on their day-to-day activities," the police said.

This reassurance comes amidst efforts by the police to maintain safety and stability across all regions of the country. The ZRP has committed to visible patrols, working to prevent any disruptions to the peaceful environment.

Public reactions to the police presence have been positive, with many expressing confidence in the measures being taken to ensure safety. Ayanda Moyo, a member of the public, expressed support for the ZRP's efforts.

"It is reassuring to hear that the ZRP is ensuring peace and security in the country. Knowing that police officers are actively patrolling allows the public to go about their daily activities with confidence."

Moyo also called for continued community cooperation, emphasising the importance of collective efforts in maintaining a secure environment.

"Let us continue to support each other and work together for a safe community," she added.

The ZRP has stressed the importance of community involvement in maintaining peace, encouraging citizens to report any suspicious activities to the authorities. As patrols continue, the police remain committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of all Zimbabweans.

The public is advised to stay vigilant but assured that the ZRP’s presence on the ground is aimed at preserving the peace and allowing citizens to carry out their activities with confidence.
