President’s call for Ministerial accountability praised

Political analyst, Kudzai Mutisi on his X handle, lauded the President's directive, recognising its significance in defining his tenure.

"This term is critical for President Mnangagwa. Laxity among Ministers should not be tolerated, as it risks tarnishing his legacy," Mutisi emphasised, stressing the imperative of accountability.

Mutisi further commended the President's unwavering stance on performance, asserting, "He must remain resolute and demand tangible results. There are capable MPs ready to replace underperforming Ministers."

Similarly, political analyst, Calvin Chitsunge, echoed these sentiments, praising President Mnangagwa for addressing ministerial absenteeism during Cabinet sessions.

Chitsunge emphasised the importance of Ministers aligning with the President's vision and objectives for the nation.

"The President's rebuke sends a clear message that absenteeism is unacceptable and is incompatible with his vision for Zimbabwe. President Mnangagwa's proactive governance sets a high standard for ministerial performance and accountability," stated Chitsunge.

Chitsunge added that, "With his steadfast dedication to realising the goals outlined in Vision 2030, the President reaffirms his commitment to steering Zimbabwe towards prosperity."

Meanwhile, President Mnangagwa's firm stance on ministerial performance underscores his determination to drive progress and achieve the ambitious objectives set forth in Vision 2030.

By demanding excellence and accountability from his Ministers, the President wants the Government to remain steadfast in its mission to deliver meaningful outcomes for the people of Zimbabwe.
