MDC has been sent into panic mode following  the High Court ruling that delegitimise Nelson Chamisa`s leadership, with the latter and his close allies planning what they call ‘a mother of all demonstrations’ to make  this country ungovernable.

Sources within the opposition party revealed to Harare Post that the MDC is planning to stage violent demonstrations sometime in June this year.

“Chamisa has directed Amalgamated Rural Teachers Union of Zimbabwe (ARTUZ), Zimbabwe Congress of Trade Union (ZCTU) and Tajamuka to stage demonstrations across the country to assess the reaction of the State and its capacity to thwart the demonstrations before they unleash his mother of all demonstrations,” said the source.

The source said the MDC wanted to take advantage of the general disgruntlement within the country owing to continuous price hikes and general economic challenges.

The MDC is working in cahoots with Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs) to stage these demonstrations.

The source further revealed that former Zanu PF Politburo members and G40 king-pins, Saviour Kasukuwere, Jonathan Moyo and Grace Mugabe have promised to fund all anti-President Emmerson Mnangagwa demonstrations.

The former G40 king-pins are reportedly using former Zanu PF legislators Jeppy Jaboon and Shadreck Mashayamombe for their machinations.

The source went on to reveal that Kasukuwere is holding secret meetings with Mashayamombe in South Africa.

The MDC, the source said, was also targeting Zanu PF Legislators whom they suspect to be G40 remnants.

There have been attempts by MDC and its allies in the Civic Society Organisations to force Zanu PF out of power through unconstitutional means.

Sources within the MDC National Executive Council revealed that MDC St Marys Legislator, Job Sikhala wants to move a motion in Parliament to impeach President Mnangagwa for alleged failure to revive the economy. However, the sources said the move is facing setbacks following refusal by Harare West legislator Johanna Mamombe and Kuwadzana East Legislator Chalton Hwende to second the motion citing their impending court cases.
