First Lady, Amai Auxilia Mnangagwa is today visiting the Ministry of Education to be appraised on how she can help children with different skills.

An official who preferred anonymity revealed to this publication that Mrs Mnangagwa was impressed with the performance displayed by children when President Emmerson Mnangagwa hosted this year's children party on the eve of this year’s Independence celebrations.

School children from various provinces probably provided entertainment through traditional dances like mbende, mhande and Jerusalem among others.

All age-groups were represented from ECD to A levels who got opportunity to mingle with the President.

The children showcased traditional dances from their provinces, adding a cultural dimension that touched the heart of the First Lady.

Outstanding dances which included muchongoyo from Manicaland, the traditional dances from Botswana performed by children from Matebeland South, Mashonaland East's popular Jerusalema, Mbende and Mhande from Masvingo.

The Children's party is confirmation of the vision and love President Mnangagwa has for the children.

The tapping of Children's skills dovetails with Angels of Hope Foundation vision. A foundation built of the strong African Tradition and Christian values of love and unity.

Angel of Hope Foundation's main focus is to uplift lives of disadvantaged children and other vulnerable members of society.

The Angel of Hope Foundation is about standing up and taking responsibility of Zimbabwe's future as the core of its activities is the commitment to create a better future, from our children irrespective of gender, race, religion, tribe or economic status.

The First Lady's keen interest in promoting skills in school children is a step in the right direction.
