Organise For Change (OFC), a pressure group that was created to spearhead anti-Government demonstrations on behalf of the MDC has moved a gear up in preparing for the so called ‘Mother of all demonstrations’ scheduled for next month.

OFC, represented by ZimRIGHTS lawyer, who is also the leader of the organisation, Douglas Coltart together with Amalgamated Rural Teachers’ Union of Zimbabwe (ARTUZ), Secretary General, Robison Chere organised the provincial tours.

During the tour, the two recruited focal persons and co-ordinators in each province for the June shutdown.

In addition, OFC is going to hold a training workshop in Swaziland, in early June. The workshop will train administrators on how to co-ordinate logistical support for the demonstration.

According to impeccable sources, OFC wants to model their demonstration along that of Sudan which toppled its former president, Omar al-Bashir from power.

OFC has offices in Zambia, Malawi and South Africa and is funded by Prisons of Conscience, a UK based Non-Governmental Organisation, Action Aid and Activista among other funders.

Plans to topple the constitutionally elected Government by opposition political activists and some NGOs have been recently exposed.

On April 30, 2019 The Herald, carried an article which unmasked a by a group of foreign nationals who wanted to facilitate a three-day civic organisation workshop in Bulawayo, to mobilise and capacitate civic organisations and individuals to stage purported effective demonstrations and disturbances to overthrow the incumbent Government.

The Herald also unearthed a plot to unleash violent protests against Government by a group of shady organisations with links to MDC Alliance. The group allegedly received training in the Maldives under the banner of a Serbian organisation called Centre for Non Violent Action and Strategies (CANVAS).

Also, the MDC, through its leader, Nelson Chamisa has been threatening to intensify violent demonstrations after their national congress.
