ED’s journey to vision 2030 on course

President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s achievements towards an upper-middle income economy by 2030 have been outlined as a success by a Political Analyst, Kudzai Mutisi.

On his twitter handle, Mutisi said a number of achievements taken up by the President were promising, referring to some such as the budget deficit and trade deficit which is on the downward trend.

“President Mnangagwa’s awesome achievements, budget deficit is down by 90%. Trade deficit is down by 70%. De-dollarization completed, new currency introduced and stabilized. Ease of doing business Zimbabwe is up 15 positions. Public Transport introduced (ZUPCO),” he said.

He also said the President had achieved refurbishment of power generation projects at Hwange and Batoka Gorge.

“President Mnangagwa has achieved unprecedented Power Generation Projects, 600 MW Hwange Unit 7 and 8 more than 40% completed. 2400 MW Batoka Gorge Hydro-Power Plant-Tender has already been awarded to General Electric,” said Mutisi.

Mutisi also said the President was managing to ensure corruption in Government ends.

“The President has managed to eliminate corruption and arbitrage opportunities in Government. Removed fuel subsidies, dismantled Command Agriculture model and replaced it with Private Sector funded Smart Agriculture and introduced Biometric registration of Civil Servants,” he said.

The political analyst also said various projects were underway such as massive road works all over Zimbabwe. Harare to Beitbridge dualisation is already in progress. DDF is rehabilitating rural roads whilst Zinara funded urban roads rehabilitation which has resulted in Karoi and Binga road being constructed.

He also said Transformation of the Education System and the Implementation of the New Curriculum were going very well. University Grants are back and 2000 New Schools are being introduced and that student accommodation is also being built among other various issues.
