During his first few months in office, President Mnangagwa has brought peace and democracy and will continue to do so even after election period, said Vice President Constantino Chiwenga as he urged Zanu PF supporters to maintain peace for the country to develop.

Addressing thousands of Zanu PF supporters at a recently held rally in Budiriro, Vice President Chiwenga told the electorate that the country had been peaceful during President Mnangagwa’s reign especially during this election period, hence they should vote him into office giving him another chance.

“Zanu PF led by President Mnangagwa has brought peace especially during this election period and this has been the first peaceful election in many years. There is need, therefore, for the electorate to vote him into office, giving him another chance,” he said.

Vice President Chiwenga said that people should work together peacefully for them to build a better Zimbabwe, urging them to shun corruption, as this will help the country move forward.

“Let us work together in peace to build a better Zimbabwe. No country will move forward if there are corrupt elements, therefore let us fight corruption as a nation,” he said.

He encouraged the electorate to preach the gospel of peace especially during this election period and desist from engaging in political violence.

“I urge all of you to maintain peace, to preach the gospel of peace in your communities as we head towards elections. We do not want people who engage in political violence,” he said.
