Scores of residents in Nyanga South Constituency felt a sigh of relief when they received free medical treatment last weekend courtesy of a medical team led by Dr Admore Jokwiro.

Dr Jokwiro revealed that they treated 1090 patients from across the constituency’s wards for various ailments.

“We set up eight medical points across the different Wards in Nyanga South offering free medical treatment after we received financial donations from Telone and Zanu PF National Assembly candidate for the Constituency, Minister Supa Mandiwanzira,” said Jokwiro.

“Most patients received treatment for arthritis and hypertension, while some undertook cervical cancer screening,” he added.

Speaking to the Harare Post, Minister Mandiwanzira who is pinning his hopes for another five year term in Parliament commended Dr Jokwiro and his team for their goodwill and life-saving gesture.

Minister Mandiwanzira said, “I am humbled by the great work that has been done by our health professionals led by Dr Jokwiro in my constituency.

“Part of His Excellency President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s vision for the Zimbabwe is to ensure that free and quality health care services are accessible to all and the medical outreach programme marks the initial steps towards the realization of this vision”.

Minister Mandiwanzira and TelOne donated $3500 and $6500, respectively, towards the medical outreach programme.
