MDC Alliance plots to unleash terror

By Political Reporter

The MDC Alliance is reportedly plotting to unleash a wave of terror against the Government in response to the lawful incarceration of that party’s activist, Makomborero Haruzivishe who was jailed for inciting public violence and resisting a lawful arrest.

This publication can reveal that recent discussions in most MDC Alliance WhatsApp groups are centered on brainstorming each other on how to violently dethrone the Government.

In a WhatsApp group called “Tajamuka Mauto aChamisa,” administered by one Kumbirai Kanda, it was clear that the MDC Alliance is up to no good as they are planning to torch Government buildings and destroy other vital installations in the country.

“Don’t you think guys that as youths of Zimbabwe this is the time we have to break and burn Government premises? We can do it during the night. Wherever we are, this is the only way out as youths, to bring back our territory,” wrote one Jonah in the group.

Jonah further emphasized his suggestion to commit terror saying that the party’s leadership has directed that all party youths should engage in a “battle” mode and violently engage the Government.

This publication unearthed that discussions in other MDC Alliance affiliated WhatsApp groups such as MDC A Team Chamisa, Zim MDC Alliance News, MDC A for a Better Zimbabwe and MDC Alliance, are all centered on plans to commit terror around the country.

Political analyst Tendai Mahwengwa said the MDC Alliance was slowly morphing into a terrorist organization and he urged the security forces to strictly monitor its activities.

“The MDC Alliance is slowly morphing from a civil political party into a terror organization just like ISIS or Boko Haram. When you see a political party planning to burn buildings, it ceases to be a political party but a terrorist group. The police should monitor the activities of the MDC Alliance to safeguard the loss of life or property that might be caused by the planned terror activities,” said Mahwengwa.

Mahwengwa added that this was not the first time for MDC Alliance to be associated with terrorist activities. He said one of their activists, Tawanda Muchehiwa had plans to burn Government buildings.

“If you still remember, the former MDC Alliance Bulawayo Women’s Chairlady Tendai Masotsha revealed last year that Tawanda Muchehiwa, together with other 20 unknown people, had planned to bomb Government buildings before his alleged abduction. It’s now worrying that the MDC Alliance is resorting to violence to settle whatever grievances they might have against the Government,” added Mahwengwa.

Efforts to get a comment from the MDC Alliance spokesperson, Fadzayi Mahere were fruitless as she didn’t respond to messages sent to her by the time of going to print.
