Transform Zimbabwe’s (TZ) plan to hold a week-long protest which was slated for Monday till Friday, to protest against Job Sikhala, Godfrey Sithole and 16 activists’ stay in remand has dismally flopped.

Posting on his official Twitter handle, Ngarivhume tried tirelessly to entice Zimbabweans to engage in a week-long anti-government protest. In one of his posts yesterday, Ngarivhume said taking action is the only way to stop the Government.

“I have called for action because there is no other way to stop these people from doing what they are doing. Let us make some noise for Job Sikhala, Godfrey Sithole and the Nyatsime 16. This week we must fight to restore what is ours,” said Ngarivhume.

A citizen called Mashoko boldly warned Ngarivhume that the long arm of the law would surely catch up with him and his shenanigans.

“One day is one day; the long arm of the law will catch up with you and your incitements. You know what happens with unsanctioned demonstrations. People are tired of listening to your same old demonstration songs,” said Mashoko.

A survey made by this publication revealed that citizens went about their normal day to day routines without any disturbances. Vendors in the Mbare Musika area professed ignorance at the slated Ngarivhume protests calling him a ghost who capitalises on chaos.

Incarcerated Sikhala, Sithole and other 16 CCC activists were lawfully arrested and charged for inciting violence in Nyatsime after Moreblessing Ali’s murder. Sikhala and Sithole are represented by Beatrice Mtetwa and have their cases before court of law
