Mangwana mourns President Mnangagwa`s grandchild

The Permanent Secretary for Information, Publicity and Broadcasting Services, Ndabaningi Mangwana has sent a condolence message to the First Family, following the death of Yasha Mafidi Mnangagwa.

In a statement, yesterday,  the Permanent Secretary Mangwana informed the nation that the First Family had suffered a bereavement.

“It is with a great sense of sadness that we inform the Nation that His Excellency, President Cde E.D. Mnangagwa and the First Lady Dr Auxillia. Mnangagwa have lost their beloved grandson, Yasha Mafidi Mnangagwa today,” said Mangwana.

According to the statement, Yasha was the son to Sean Mnangagwa.

“Yasha (5 years old) was Sean Mnangagwa`s son. He died  at a local hospital where he was receiving treatment for respiratory complications. Our condolences to the family who deserve their privacy at this difficult time of bereavement,” he said.

Meanwhile, the leader of an opposition party Citizen Coalition for Change (CCC),Nelson Chamisa also send a condolence message saying the moment of bereavement to the family was sad.

“Loss of a loved one is such a painful and sad moment. My deepest condolences to the Mnangagwa family on the tragic loss of their beloved grandson, Yasha. Our prayers are with the family during this very difficult time. May Yasha`s soul Rest In Peace,” said Chamisa.

President Mnangagwa in July 2020, also sent a condolence message to his rivalry Chamisa following the loss of his mother.

In his message, President Mnangagwa said,”I was sad to hear of the passing of Ambuya Chamisa, the mother of Nelson Chamisa. Our thoughts and prayers are with Chamisa and the Chamisa family at this difficult time.”
