The United States of America (USA) Embassy in Harare continues to meddle in the country’s internal electoral processes with the Embassy funding an anti-government and pro-opposition group to mobilise youths to register and eventually vote for Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) in next year’s polls.

A source who spoke to this publication said that the US Embassy in Harare had poured thousands of dollars into Project Vote 263 organisation and tasked it to actively campaign for CCC in both urban and rural areas.

“The US Embassy is working together with Project Vote 263 led by Allan Chipoyi. The Embassy has poured thousands of dollars into that organisation so that they can mobilise both the urban and rural youths to register to vote and eventually vote for CCC and Nelson Chamisa in next year’s elections,” said the source.

The source added that Chipoyi was now a frequent visitor at the US Embassy in Westgate where he meets his handlers and given strategies on how to assist in effecting regime change in Zimbabwe.

The source further said that the US Embassy had assured Chipoyi and his group that they would be accredited as election observers for next year’s elections with their task being to identify and publicise ‘electoral malpractices’ on the voting day.

According to the source, Chipoyi has also been tasked by the US Embassy to mobilise youths to stage spontaneous violent demonstrations across the country protesting against the Government’s alleged failure to effect electoral reforms.

The source added that Chipoyi would travel to the US for a month long training on how to organise and stage violent demonstrations in the country. The source said Chipoyi would depart Harare on 7 January 2023 and was expected to return the first week of February 2023.

Meanwhile, another source revealed that the incoming US diplomats, charge de affaires, Elaine French and United States Agency for International Development (USAID) director for Democracy and Governance, Lane Mears have a mission to reverse the Chinese economic dominance in Zimbabwe.

The same source added that there would soon be a sponsored media demonization of Chinese programmes in the country in a bid to whip emotions of Zimbabweans against ZANU PF ahead of next year’s elections.
