The ruling ZANU PF Party has intensified its voter mobilisation exercise as it aims to mobilise at least five million votes to win the forthcoming coming General Harmonised Elections.

The Party’s Secretary for Information and Publicity, Cde Christopher Mutsvangwa yesterday handed over 51 bicycles to Mashonaland West leadership to aid in the voter mobilisation exercise.

The bicycles are expected to assist in the voter mobilisation exercise in Chegutu East, Chegutu West and Norton constituencies.

Speaking during the handover ceremony yesterday, Cde Mutsvangwa said the bicycles would boost the voter mobilisation drive as the country approaches the elections.

“This will give a mobility boost as we approach the election proclamation date by President Mnangagwa. This eventuality is growing close as the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) finalises its statutory assignment as the delimitation commission,” said Cde Mutsvangwa.

Cde Mutsvangwa further commended the works of the Second Republic under the leadership of President Mnangagwa and said he deserved another term to complete his development activities.

Cde Mutsvangwa added that President Mnangagwa was determined to see every Zimbabwean acquire vital civil registration documents. He said the issuance of registration documents would be issues to every deserving Zimbabwean in line with the President’s mantra of leaving no one and no place behind in terms of development.

Meanwhile, speaking at the same event, the ZANU PF deputy National Political Commissar, Cde Webster Shamu urged Party members to embrace those who were re-joining the Party. He said that everyone was welcome in ZANU PF as the ultimate goal was for the Party and President Mnangagwa to win resoundingly in the forthcoming elections.
