Environment, Tourism and Hospitality Industry Minister, Nqobizitha Mangaliso Ndlovhu scooped the best African Minister of Tourism award at the world’s largest Travel and Tourism Trade Fair—Internationale  Tourism Bourse (ITB) 2023.

Minister Ndlovhu, who is leading Zimbabwe’s delegation to ITB, said that the awards were proof of the good work Team Zimbabwe had done over the years, while indicating that this was the second time Zimbabwe has bagged prestigious awards from PATWA at ITB.

“We have said that Zimbabwe is open for business to the world and these are the results. This is the rebirth of Zimbabwe to the international world and the world has indeed recognised the good work.

“Previously, Zimbabwe bagged two awards in 2019 for Sustainable Destination for the year award whilst the Tourism Minister scooped the PATWA’s Tourism Minister of the year award (Africa),” said Minister Ndlovhu.

The PATWA International Travel Awards are handed out once a year in March at IBT Berlin, the world’s biggest travel and trade fair. The awards recognise individuals and organisations that have excelled or been involved in the promotion of tourism.
