Kasukuwere wasting time: Analysts

Political analysts have said that self-exiled G40 kingpin, Saviour Kasukuwere is wasting his time running for presidential race which he declared on the 4th of June saying that it is a vaulting ambition.

According to political analyst, Mike Sahwa, Kasukuwere is wasting his time running for this year’s presidential election as he has a case to answer and has been a fugitive from justice.

“Kasukuwere stands no chance in this year’s presidential poll, in fact he does not matter politically since he is a fugitive from justice, facing three counts of criminal abuse of office as a public officer during his tenure as a cabinet minister. The other count was committed while he was the Minister of Youth Development, in which he corruptly awarded a tender to a company called Brainworks Capital,” Mr Sahwa said.

Another political analyst, Terrence Chapwanya said that Kasukuwere had for the longest time demonstrated that he was very incompetent and more of a coward.

Mr Chapwanya added that Kasukuwere lacked political wisdom and good leadership skills as can be noted when he started calling himself   “Tyson wabantu”, which was associated with irrationality and corruptness.

“From his South African base, Kasukuwere launched his “Tyson wabantu” thing, less out of political wisdom which everyone failed to grasp what the associational political benefit with that name was,” he said.

More so, Mike Sahwa added that Kasukuwere’s declaration to run for this year’s presidential election was his ploy to distract the ruling party.

“Kasukuwere does not matter, and requires insignificant investments to lay him to permanent rest, politically. What can make him matter is the distractive role which his funders have designed for him, which is meant to tempt the ruling party into chasing a false narrative and losing focus in the process,” Mr Sahwa added.
