Zimbabweans from all walks of life have expressed their strong condemnation of a disturbing incident caught on camera, where an alleged Chegutu Chicken Inn branch manager was seen physically assaulting a Zanu Pf member for placing President Mnangagwa's campaign posters near the fast-food outlet.

The incident has sparked outrage among citizens, with concerns raised over the potential involvement of the manager's political affiliations.

According to a reliable source, the manager in question is known to be a prominent supporter of the Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) in Chegutu.

Some individuals believe that the manager might have used the altercation as an opportunity to please his party bosses by humiliating a member of the ruling Zanu Pf.

Political analyst, Edith Gwangwava, expressed her dismay over the incident, describing it as unfortunate that certain individuals are resorting to violence at a time when President Mnangagwa was calling for political tolerance and peaceful elections.

Gwangwava emphasized the importance of respecting differing political views and engaging in constructive dialogue to build a united nation.

“As the nation moves forward, citizens hope that such incidents will be thoroughly investigated and appropriate measures taken to prevent a recurrence. Calls for political tolerance and peaceful coexistence remain at the forefront of the national agenda, urging all Zimbabweans to embrace the values of democracy and respect for one another,” said Gwangwava.

The analyst further highlighted the disheartening aspect of the incident, considering that Zanu Pf was Chicken Inn's largest customer.

Following the emergence of the video, some concerned Chegutu residents have called for the immediate dismissal of the Chicken Inn manager involved in the incident. They argue that his reported political bias compromises his ability to perform his duties impartially and undermines the values of a diverse and inclusive society.

The Chicken Inn management has yet to issue an official statement regarding the incident. It remains to be seen how the company will respond to the public's demand for action against the alleged manager.
