A prophet from the Johane Masowe Apostolic sect has predicted President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s victory in the forthcoming Harmonised General Elections claiming that the ZANU PF leader was the country’s anointed leader who should stop campaigning since his victory was “guaranteed”.

Speaking to this publication at the side lines of the Methodist Church in Zimbabwe (MCZ) Easter conference at Jonasi Primary School in Seke last Saturday, Johane Masowe prophet, Lazarus Simbarashe Nengomasha, popularly known as Madzibaba Simba, assured the ZANU PF Presidential candidate of victory in the forthcoming elections adding that his ascendancy to the Presidency in 2017 had been predicted in the spiritual realm.

“President Mnangagwa’s victory is guaranteed. He has no challenger. It’s already written in the spirit that the President will romp to victory. Even his ascendancy to the Presidency in 2017 was predicted in the spiritual realm. The President can stop campaigning if he wants because the heavens are in support of his Presidency,” said Madzibaba Simba.

Madzibaba Simba added that the people of Zimbabwe should vote for President Mnangagwa so that he completes his development initiatives.

“As a prophet of God, I urge Zimbabweans to vote for President Mnangagwa for continued development. With President Mnangagwa at the helm, I foresee Zimbabwe becoming the Dubai of Africa,” said Madzibaba Simba.

Madzibaba Simba claimed that his church had resolved to align itself with President Mnangagwa as he was the only leader anointed by God to lead Zimbabwe.

Meanwhile, the Vapostori4ED National Spokesperson, Madzibaba Obey Mapuranga, said at the weekend that, ZANU PF was set for a landslide victory in the forthcoming harmonised elections as all members of the apostolic sects were rallying behind President Mnangagwa and ZANU PF.

The Apostolic sects, which command some of the largest followings, took advantage of their Easter conferences to mobilise votes for President Mnangagwa and ZANU PF. The Party is targeting five million votes to comfortably win the polls, and out of these, Vapostori have pledged 2, 3 million votes as a token of appreciation for President Mnangagwa’s astute leadership that has brought fresh hope in the country.

ZANU-PF is expected to bag five million votes in the upcoming Harmonised General Elections, the Harare Post has learnt.

Following information that the Zimbabwe Electoral Commission (ZEC) has registered six million votes; Political Analyst Tinotenda Chakoroma informed this publication that ZANU PF is likely to get five million votes in the upcoming elections.

"In the past week, I have learnt that ZEC has managed to register about six million voters as this can be attributed to be voter registration blitz. However, this is record breaking and as the nation moves closer to the much anticipated general elections, there is high probability that ZANU-PF will get five million votes", said Chakoroma.

Chakaroma added that there was going to be a significant change in voting patterns and turnout as most citizens in the urban areas would vote for ZANU-PF.

"It is not a secret that in the past elections, most citizens in urban centers voted for the opposition, but with the current state of affairs in opposition run city and town councils; urban folks are presumably going to vote for ZANU PF, thus booting out the opposition.

"President Emmerson Mnangagwa is a listening President and he is success driven as evidenced by developmental projects being implemented across the country in the mining, agriculture and tourism sectors. This will appeal to the urban voters and come the Harmonised General Elections, ZANU PF will emerge victorious," said Chakoroma.

One ZANU-PF supporter identified as Marimo aired out that in this year's elections; the Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) has nothing to offer claiming that out of the six million possible votes, they would not get any significant votes.

"CCC has nothing to offer, I will vote for ZANU PF and out of the six million votes, CCC will get nothing as all opposition parties will have to share the remaining 1 million votes," said Marimo.

Meanwhile, the ruling Party ZANU PF is in full gear after the Politburo published candidates who are going to be representing the Party in the upcoming elections.

Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) has reportedly dumped Job Sikhala who is in Remand Prison for inciting violence in the Nyatsime Saga.

Writing on his Twitter handle, CCC activist and journalists, Hopewell Chin’ono, hinted that CCC leadership had thrown Sikhala under the bus at his hour of need.

“Your party (CCC) has failed to even help Job Sikhala who is rotting in prison. His family starves and have to live through well-wishers. His kids’ fees have not been paid, and you come here on twitter to grandstand posting useless messages,” said Chin’ono.

Additionally, Chin’ono further labelled CCC leadership as incompetent and ineffective after Makomborero Haruzivishe had slammed Chin’ono comparing him to a dog that has gone rogue as he questioned his loyalty to that party.

“My contribution to Zimbabwean discourse was never about your political party, it will not stop because of your toxic insults. Your insults are hurting your party, I am not a politician and I don’t belong to a political party. I am above petty party politics! Your leadership is what makes CCC unattractive to many who chose to keep quiet and watch you tear your party into pieces!

“You must understand that my struggle for a better Zimbabwe was never through political parties, it is national. Anyone who thinks l belong to a political party hasn’t been following what l say! I won’t tolerate incompetence and toxicity because its being done by someone,” said Hopewell.

Meanwhile, Chin’ono further denied being part of CCC arguing that that he would never join a party that insults and humiliates people making mention to Haruzivishe who referred him to a dog.
