Expelled Zanu PF member Blessed Geza’s bizarre online press conference, yesterday, was met with widespread ridicule as Zimbabweans dismissed his wild corruption allegations and self-proclaimed “revolutionary” posturing as the ramblings of a man detached from reality.
Geza, who has become a political pariah since his expulsion from the ruling Party, took to an online platform to level unsubstantiated corruption claims against several individuals while grandiosely declaring himself the leader of a “people’s revolution”.
However, his theatrics were swiftly dismissed by citizens, analysts, and even former allies, who labelled him an irrelevant figure peddling baseless conspiracy theories.
“Geza is an illusionist—he sees things that simply are not there. His claims lack any credible evidence, and his sudden ‘revolutionary’ zeal reeks of desperation. Zimbabweans have no time for such theatrics,” said political analyst, Tendai Chirenje.
Others were even harsher in their assessment.
“Blessed Geza is a political nobody, a spent force whose rants won’t change anything in this country. Ifhe thinks anyone takes him seriously, he’s living in a fantasy,” said Harare resident Patricia Chidemo.
Some speculated that Geza’s sudden outbursts were financially motivated.
“No sane person wakes up and decides to make wild accusations without backing. It’s clear someone is paying him to tarnish the Government and its officials. But Zimbabweans are not fools—we see through cheap propaganda,” said a Zanu PF member who spoke on condition of anonymity.
Geza’s claims that Zanu PF is at its “weakest” were further undermined by the Party’s ongoing cell verification exercises, which have seen a strong turnout across the country—a clear sign of the ruling party’s entrenched grassroots presence.
Political commentator Brian Mhlanga noted, “While Geza is busy chasing shadows, Zanu PF is mobilising on the ground. His delusions of a crumbling Party are just that—delusions.”
As Zimbabwe moves forward, it appears Geza’s political obituary has already been written. His latest outburst only served to confirm what many already knew: he is a man shouting into the void, with no audience left to listen.
