‘Reload’ shameful document to appease donors: Analysts

By Claver Nyuki

Self-exiled former Cabinet Minister, Professor Jonathan Moyo leads the condemnation of the MDC economic blueprint, Roadmap to Economic Recovery, Legitimacy, Openness and Democracy, (Reload), coming short of calling it substandard and rubbish.

Commenting on his Twitter handle, Prof Moyo uploaded the document and said, “The Reload document could have been better conceptualized, written and presented.”

Political analyst, Tumirai Makoti, who spoke to Harare Post agreed with Prof Moyo and questioned why the MDC are calling it an economic blueprint when it does not include any planned solutions to the economic challenges facing the country.

Chelsy Chipato concurred with Makoti and tweeted, “There was nothing in there except ranting about an illegitimate government and plenty grammatical errors. They have exposed themselves even more now and the season is getting worse with the coming elections.”

Mathew Kunyeda also displayed his dismay on Twitter, accusing the MDC of coming up with a hurried job in an attempt to please its perennial donors, the West.

He said, “They had to put out a document to satisfy their financial donors that things are on track but what an awful document.”

George Chinga added, “A rushed job often lacks style, but this one is poor on style, substance and context.”

MDC sympathizer and fierce government critic, Zandatoto weighed in and concluded that the document is riddled with grammatical errors and passed the verdict that it was a rushed job.

The widespread condemnation of the Reload document exposes the MDC as being clueless to the economic challenges facing the country.
