MDC activist on charges of insulting Head of State

A notorious member of the MDC-Alliance is being charged for disorderly conduct of undermining and insulting the authority of President Emmerson Mnangagwa.

The incident happened in Ward 6, Mbare, Shawasha flats.

Circumstances are that Tatenda Muzondo who is well known MDC-A activists, was drinking opaque beer with his friends at Mudyanadzo Bottle store situated at Block 1, Shawasha flats in Mbare.

Muzondo is reported to have started following Mavis Goredema, a ZANU-PF and ZILIWACO member who was walking along Nharira Road clad in her party regalia.

Muzondo started shouting on top of his voice, “Uri hure raMnangagwa, wachembedzwa na Mnanagwa, uri imbwa yemunhu,”

It is reported that Goredema, on several times had to change roads but Muzondo continued to follow him, shouting even unprintable words.

Goredema is said to have remained silent but chose to report the incident to Matapi Police station leading to the arrest of Muzondo on Monday this week.

The case was referred and currently being handled by CID Law and Order Section.

Muzondo is a member of the infamous Democratic Resistance Committee (DRC), a militant wing of the MDC-A causing mayhem in the country.

Muzondo is reported to be always involved in every incident of thuggery and violence by DRC.

Recently he was part of MDC-A youths who vandalised Skyline tollgate along Masvingo road among other incidences that happened during the 1 August which led President Mnangagwa to institute a commission of Inquiry.
