MDC supporters question Chamisa’s leadership credentials

MDC supporters are increasingly becoming disenchanted with that party’s leader, Nelson Chamisa, accusing him of being weak and failing to come up with effective and innovative ideas to dislodge ZANU PF from power.

Responding to a statement by the National Deputy Spokesperson, Luke Tamborinyoka advising that the Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) had proscribed its event scheduled for today in Mbare, supporters accused Chamisa and company of being ‘cry-babies.’

Commenting on Tamborinyoka’s statement posted on that party’s Facebook page, Kudakwashe Shepard Comens questioned why that party repeats the same strategy when it has proven to be ineffective.

“I'm starting to doubt if MDC is genuinely fighting for us. Why do we keep on repeating the same Strategy? If you go on Facebook live, I'm sure in 1hr Chamisa can reach 70k plus viewers, 24hrs he can reach 1 million plus through all social media platforms,” he said.

Another supporter, Ngonidzashe Constantine Muchenjebvu commented on the same post.

“MDC should be registered as a church ministry under pastor Chamisa. You are too weak for ZANU PF, tichaona zvekuita tega.”

Chris Ncube suggested that co-Vice President, Tendai Biti would make a better leader, “Kamfana Chamisa katete pakufunga. As long as we have those two CIOs up there, we are going nowhere. We need Biti up there.”

Midze Pat claimed that the MDC leadership is captured. “MDC leadership is captured, they slept with C10 women and now they won't move a millimetre because they are threatened to spill the beans.

“All this SONA is just a programmed time waster of keeping the puppy quiet by giving it a bone.”

MDC supporters’ growing disgruntlement against Chamisa’s leadership also follows accusations levelled against him that he is still in election mode two years after elections, clinging on to the ‘illegitimate mantra’ which failed to achieve results.
