Church and Citizens angry over fake abductions by MDC-A

By John Mhazo

Various Church leaders and dozens of citizens have taken to social media to express disgust over the MDC Alliance’s stage-managed abduction theatricals.

This follows a leaked documentary which went viral on social media and ZBC television yesterday exposing the MDC Alliance’s infamous trio girls’ kindergarten attempt to tarnish the image of President Emmerson Mnangagwa and ZANU PF in the international forum.

The MDC Alliance through its National Spokesperson, Fadzayi Mahere maintains that the country faces a deep human rights violations crisis manifesting through the abduction and torture of party members and activists.

However, yesterdays leaked expose’ left the opposition party’s propaganda machine dry of excuses following an unprecedented number of Church and citizens livid reactions over the extent the opposition would go to tarnish the image of the country for cheap political gain.

Obadiah Musindo, Destiny for Afrika Network founder stressed that there is no crisis in the country and that the state is not involved in the abduction of anyone.

“The issue of human rights abuses and abduction are stage-managed. This is a false crisis created by the country’s detractors,” he said.

Kudzai Mutisi @KMutisi tweeted that, “if you believe what you wrote, then we wouldn’t be seeing MDC organising abductions…it is jus a desperation to tarnish Mnangagwa who is a gentleman by the way…U all been ranting and raving while he remained quiet and focused on delivering…U shall hurt each other,” tweeted Mutisi.

Bevan Musoko @benamusoko1 tweeted that “that aside, there is evidence that the trio were recorded moving around town at a time they had been ‘abducted’. There is footage to that effect. What do you say to that?

They called themselves, nothing was done to them, they just want to tarnish the country’s image)” he said.

Some sections of the general public whom this publication spoke to also added their disgust over reports by the MDC Alliance of the alleged abduction of citizens by the state.

Tendai Maringapasi, an airtime vendor said that it is expected for the opposition to peddle falsehoods against Government because they have long wanted to have a taste of power.

“Vanhu ava vava nemakore akawanda vachivavarira kutonga saka vanoramba vachiedza zvavanogona zvese kusvibisa hurumende yava Munangagwa kuti pamwe ivo vagotongawo (These people have for long wanted to rule the country and would do anything to soil the image of the Government and President Mnangagwa so that they have a chance at the seat,” he said.
