Netizens continue to applaud President Emmerson Mnangagwa's efforts in turning around the economy.

Tweeting on his Twitter handle today, Co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Newlay Technology, Charles Chitondo posted that, “President Emmerson Mnangagwa has achieved a lot of things in a period of two years more than the overrated Government of National Unity (GNU).We did not see any infrastructure development or any recruitment during that GNU.”

Another netizen, who goes by the moniker Delante Wevhu tweeted that the Second Republic had managed to clear foreign debts, which the GNU failed to do.

“All that borrowed money which messed up the credit of the nation was cleared in this Second Republic.

“Hatingatendi vapemhi over producers. The Second Republic has cleared debts and developments are funded by local money.#GarweRasimudzaNyika,” posted Delantu Wevhu.

Delantu Wevhu went on to say that journalists are not writing about the developments brought by the Second Republic, because most of them are enemies of Government who are working in cahoots with the country’s detractors to discredit it.

“#GarweRasimudzaNyika. Journalists are enemies of progress and bad partners of hyperbole crisis.

“They all wish to be American. President Mnangagwa has no time to waste. Forward with progress Murambwi,” he posted.

One netizen by the name Miriam Munetsi tweeted that progress in the country would take time and cannot be achieved overnight.

“Where will you get that Government which will change everything in a day, there is or will never be a miracle in rebuilding a once broken country, even David Coltart said it, that not even MDC can fix Zimbabwe in a day, month or year,” she posted

President Mnangagwa had on several occasions pledged to improve the livelihoods of people through various developmental projects.
