Bulawayo rejects Ncube

Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) interim structures in Bulawayo have rejected that party’s interim co-vice president Welshman Ncube accusing him of impeding the growth of the new party in that region.

A source who spoke to this publication said CCC Bulawayo members were fed up with Ncube’s secret attacks on Nelson Chamisa and they wanted him booted out of that party.

“Ncube is a wolf in sheep’s skin. He is divisive and has no respect for Chamisa. He is creating parallel structures and is the man behind double fielding of candidates in Bulawayo. As Bulawayo province, we want him fired from the party before he causes more damage to the CCC brand,” said the source.

The source said that as Bulawayo province, they hadn’t nominated Ncube to be that party’s vice president. The source said Bulawayo wanted Thabitha Khumalo to deputise Chamisa, but they were shocked when Ncube was elevated to the vice presidency position without the support of the grassroots.

The same source added that it was known that Ncube was a ZANU PF sympathiser and had no CCC’s interests at heart. Ncube was also accused of feigning love for Chamisa when he actually was clandestinely working to usurp him from the party.

Meanwhile, CCC WhatsApp chats gleaned by this publication revealed that Ncube’s days in CCC were now numbered. Members in a CCC Bulawayo WhatsApp group accused Ncube of feigning illness just to avoid national events addressed by Chamisa.

A CCC member who used WhatsApp number 0714510602 said, “He (Ncube) becomes sick when he is supposed to attend party programme”’. Another member who uses WhatsApp number 0773766936 said Ncube unoda kudzingwa.Ngatirambe tichimusimudzira mhepo. Bulawayo ngaitsvagirwe munhu anoda vanhu kwete Ncube”.

However, another source said Ncube had since lashed out at interim CCC Bulawayo provincial members namely Swirthern Chiroodza, Helen Zivira, Kwanele Bango, Sibusisiwe Masina and Ophias Marunga for plotting to ouster him from that party. Ncube reportedly told the members that he was too senior to be ousted by them and vowed to fight them until they were expelled from CCC.

Efforts to get a comment from Ncube were futile as his mobile phones were not reachable.
