President Emmerson Mnangagwa has assured the nation that despite the looming drought, no one will die of hunger.

This was said by ZANU PF Secretary for Administration, Dr Obert Mpofu while addressing a rally at Mbambangandla Business Centre in Tsholotsho North on Sunday.

In his address, Dr Mpofu said that he was sent by President Mnangagwa to assure the people of Tsholotsho that they should not worry about hunger as the Government has enough stocks to feed the nation. Dr Mpofu said the President told him that the country had enough grain stocks in its silos that are enough to feed the whole country.

He also told the gathering that the President also sent him to ask the people of Tsholotsho North to come in their numbers on 26 March 2022 and vote for the aspiring candidate for ZANU PF Member of Parliament, Cde Musa Ncube.

Dr Mpofu said the President made it clear that development in any area comes smoothly if the local MP is from ZANU PF. He added that opposition legislators always scuttle development.

On his part, Dr Mpofu implored the people of Tsholotsho to encourage each other to register to vote and make sure that they come early on the voting day to avoid unnecessary delays. He also implored ZANU PF local leadership to make sure that they mobilise their members to come and vote for the ZANU PF candidate without fail.

Dr Mpofu further told the people in Tsholotsho that the problems of water and road networks that they were currently facing will be solved without delay. He said that the Second Republic is seized with developments that will ensure the achievement of Vision 2030 of ushering in an upper middle income economy.
