CCC Byo Province refuses to work with Khupe

The Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) Bulawayo members aligned to Thabitha Khumalo vowed not to work with Thokozani Khupe whom they have since described as a political prostitute.

A source who spoke to this publication said that CCC Bulawayo Provincial interim spokesperson Swirthern Chiroodza has confided in him that Khupe will never be accommodated in that province as she was a sell-out.

“Chiroodza told me that Khupe will never be welcomed in CCC as she was a sell-out.  He said that president Nelson Chamisa should not force Khupe on the people of Bulawayo as they don’t want her. Chiroodza added that Khupe was already causing chaos within the province,” said the source.

According to the source, Chiroodza accused Khupe of lying to the media that she had donated an office space for use to the CCC Bulawayo leadership.

“Chiroodza was fuming that Khupe lied to the media that she had donated an office to the party. According to Chiroodza, Khupe has never donated anything to CCC and instead, she was the one asking for funds to carry out mobilisation activities that were assigned to her by Chamisa,” added the source.

The same source said that the people of Bulawayo were not getting the logic of bringing Khupe to CCC when she only got a paltry 45 000 votes in the 2018 presidential elections.

“The people are questioning the logic of bringing Khupe to CCC when it is clear that she is an insignificant politician. The people are asking what contribution Khupe would bring to CCC after she got a paltry 45 000 votes as a presidential candidate in 2018,” added the source.

Meanwhile, there are reports that cracks have widened within the CCC Bulawayo Province caused by a nasty fight between Welshman Ncube, Khupe and Thabitha Khumalo for the control of Matebeleland region.
