President Mnangagwa has said that ZANU PF is an orderly party with clear procedures and he implored members to remove all negative traits that undermine the integrity and unity of the Party.

Addressing the ZANU PF Politburo in the capital today, President Mnangagwa said that it was imperative for Party leaders to devise strategies to strengthen the Party.

“There is no room for mixed messaging within our Party. We are a Party of order with clear procedures and a modus operandum. I thus, challenge the Party to courageously remove any growing cancerous cells that undermine the Party’s unity and focus. It is imperative that we keep on strengthening our ability to lead politically, organise the people and inspire our nation,” said the President.

President Mnangagwa implored the Party leadership to be the servants of the people and devise mobilisation strategies that address the needs of the people.

Hatidi chi shefu-shefu mentality among the youth and indeed across all structures of the Party. We are all servants of the people. This is the culture that should be entrenched within the Party,” added the President.

The President added that ZANU PF remains the backbone of the nation and it must live up to the trust the people have placed on it. He added that counter revolutionary actions were a betrayal to the people of Zimbabwe.

President Mnangagwa further said that the Party should continue to entrench among members the growth and expansion of the country’s economy, anchored on production and productivity across all sectors. He urged Politburo members to encourage and mobilise people to take active roles in all sectors of the economy.

The President added that ZANU PF was a People’s Party and it will never abandon the citizens even those who reside in urban areas. He added that the Party would continue to roll out programmes that will benefit the people of Zimbabwe.

Turning to the impending 2023 elections, the President said that the mobilisation strategy that the Party deployed during the March by elections should be sharpened. He further said that there must be increased visibility of the Party across the country.

Meanwhile, the President said that the asymmetrical warfare strategies of the detractors must be exposed and added that the message of hope, peace, unity and respect must continue to be preached across the Party structures.
