Khumalo fed up with CCC

Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) interim national chairperson, Tabitha Khumalo is reportedly taking a lackadaisical approach to that party’s programmes blaming the party for failing to avail resources for her to attend meetings and rallies.

A source who spoke to this publication on condition of anonymity said that Khumalo boycotted that party’s rally in Chitekete, Gokwe last week after complaining that he was tired of funding party activities without getting anything in return.

“Ma Khumalo couldn’t make it to the Gokwe rally last week as she was complaining that she was now tired of forking out her hard earned cash to fund party programmes. Khumalo was bitter that despite her being the national chairperson, that party’s treasury department was failing to cater for her travel expenses,” said the source.

The source added that Khumalo snubbed the Gokwe rally as she felt that her presence at CCC meetings was not being recognised and appreciated by Nelson Chamisa.

“Khumalo is bitter that the party president (Chamisa) was not recognising her as the interim party chairperson. She told her close confidantes that she sees no point in attending a rally where she would be treated like an ordinary party member. She has now vowed that unless fuel and other resources are availed to her, she will not attend future CCC rallies and meetings,” said the source.

According to the source, it was not only Khumalo who was complaining as other CCC senior leaders were also bitter that the party was failing to avail resources to them to attend meetings and rallies.

“It’s not only Khumalo who is bitter. Other leaders are complaining that the party was concentrating on mobilising resources for Chamisa while leaving other members to foot their own bills when attending meetings and rallies. That’s why you see the likes of Welshman Ncube not attending all CCC rallies because he used to complain that he didn’t have adequate resources to finance his trips to those rallies,” said the source.

Efforts to get a comment from CCC spokesperson, Fadzayi Mahere were futile as she was not answering her calls. She also failed to respond to WhatsApp messages sent to her.
