Sikhala loyalists threatens to disrupt CCC launch

Loyalists to incarcerated Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) interim Vice National Chairman Job Sikhala, are plotting to disrupt their party’s official launch set for January, if the embattled legislator is replaced.

A well-placed official within CCC has notified this publication that loyalists to Sikhala have caught wind of a plot by party leader Nelson Chamisa to replace Sikhala at the official launch of that party.

“Sikhala’s loyalists from Zengeza West constituency caught wind of the plot by Chamisa to replace Sikhala at the official launch of the party in January,” said the official.

According to the official, Chamisa bemoans that despite Sikhala being a seasoned political figure, the incarcerated politician has fast become a political liability to their party. The official mentioned that Chamisa is not comfortable with the possible links developing between Sikhala and self-exiled former G40 king-pin, Saviour Kasukuwere.

“Chamisa agrees that Sikhala is a popular figure within CCC, he however has frequently complained that Sikhala is fast becoming a political liability to the party.

“He is concerned by the fact that Saviour Kasukuwere has openly showed his support for Sikhala with the latter also being implicated to be part of “the third way” movement which is led by the former. He believes that CCC members should not have anything to do with either former or current ZANU PF members,” the official added.

These allegations by Sikhala’s loyalists also come at a time when Sikhala has penned allegations that he has been abandoned and left to the wolves by his own party members and allies. In his open letter Sikhala reveals that his allies have attempted to give him poisoned food in a bid to eliminate him. Sikhala further disclosed that his perceived allies are responsible for the ailments he is currently suffering from.
