Increased state security for Sikhala

ZANU PF Director for Information, Tafadzwa Mugwadi has implored on Government to increase state security details for incarcerated Citizens Coalition for Change interim Vice National Chairman Job Sikhala.

Mugwadi made this appeal while responding to an open letter penned down by Sikhala last week when he alleged that there have been attempts on his life by some of his fellow party members. In his request Mugwadi maintained that increasing state security agents would counter the attempts on his life by his fellow party members.

“The state should increase security for @JobSikhala1 following his expression of real fear of danger from his peers in @CCCZimbabwe.

“Counter killings in opposition is real but always finds a scapegoat by blaming the ZANU PF party. The hypocrites he refers to are his rivals in CCC,” wrote Mugwadi.

Opposition CCC is currently battling with factionalism between the Maruva cabal and Chamisa. Sikhala who is of the Maruva cabal is believed to be getting neglected by Chamisa as the latter prefers youthful puppets such as interim Spokesperson Fadzayi Mahere and her Deputy Gift Siziba.

CCC party members have also openly criticized Chamisa over his lack of interest to assist Sikhala’s family. During Christmas season Chamisa was also castigated for sending a paltry US$20 worth of food hamper to the struggling Sikhala family.

Other members of the Maruva cabal such as Tendai Biti and Charlton Hwende have of late overtly defied Chamisa’s instructions to abstain from the US$40 000 Government loan given to Members of Parliament. Hwende has also withdrawn from Chamisa’s rural campaign, Mugwazo, citing victimisation from members of Chamisa’s faction.
