ZANU PF youths urged to be disciplined

The ZANU PF party’s Secretary for Youth Affairs, Cde Tinoda Machakaire, has urged the youths to exercise discipline and shun divisive toxic politics that might tarnish the image of the Party.

Speaking at a ZANU PF Youth League National Executive meeting yesterday, Machakaire said discipline was of paramount importance and highly expected from the youth league members.

“In order for the league to effectively carry out its constitutional mandate, there is need for us to be well- disciplined. This is not negotiable Comrades. Every member must toe the line of the Party’s values and ethos,” said Cde Machakaire.

Furthermore, Machakaire urged the youths to use social media responsibly and to be aware of the opposition’s machinations against the Government.

“There is need to encourage our members to use social media responsibly to propagate the success of the Second Republic. As youths leaders, we must emulate our senior Party leadership in preaching tolerance, peace and unity.

“We must encourage our youths to shun vices such as corruption, illegal mining, land grabbing and being land barons. We must ensure that we create an enabling environment for the empowerment of the youths and encourage them to be hard workers who earn their living in a straight forward manner,” said Cde Machakaire.

Cde Machakaire emphasised that ZANU PF youths should work towards mobilisation of votes to ensure an outstanding victory in the upcoming harmonised elections.

“In this regard this meeting must prioritise the mobilisation strategies that the youth league needs to implement in order to ensure that the party garners the much needed six million plus votes. As you might be aware, the Youth League is one of the vital wings that constitute the Party’s mobilisation cluster,” said Machakaire.

Meanwhile, President Mnangagwa has on many occasions urged Party members to shun violence and practice political tolerance.
