CCC ropes in church leaders

………as the Mugwazo mobilisation programme fails

Following the failure of Mugwazo mobilisation programme, Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) has devised a new voter mobilisation strategy that involves roping in church leaders and prophets to mobilise on behalf of that

party ahead of the coming plebiscite.

A source who spoke to this publication said that CCC secretary to the organising department, Farai Chinobva has been tasked by Nelson Chamisa to get in touch with influential church leaders so that they could urge their congregants to vote for CCC in this year’s elections.

The same source said that Chinobva had already identified Bulawayo based Eagle Life Assembly church leader, Prophet Blessing Chiza to use his influence in Bulawayo to campaign for CCC.

“Prophet Chiza has agreed to use the pulpit to campaign for CCC. He would be giving fake prophesies that point to Chamisa’s victory and urge his congregants to eventually vote for CCC. Chiza would be doing this for a fee from CCC,” said the source.

According to the source, Chinobva promised Chiza that in the event that CCC wins this year’s polls, he would be rewarded with a land and a government post.

The same source said that CCC further tasked that party’s Bulawayo chaplaincy chairperson, Obert Manduna to mobilise other Bulawayo church leaders to support CCC.

The source added that in Harare, CCC had recruited Chitungwiza, Unit J based Johane Masowe eChishanu church leader, Madzibaba Simba who would soon start giving prophecies in favour of CCC.

According to the source, Madzibaba Simba has been spiritually assisting Joanna Mamombe, Netsai Marowa and Cecilia Chimbiri to have their fake abduction charges thrown away before the courts.

Meanwhile, there are reports that CCC senior members are against Chamisa’s plot to replace one of his deputies, Tendai Biti with Harare North legislator, David Markham. The senior members are vowing to confront Chamisa to rescind his decision of relegating Biti to the peripheries of that party’s affairs.
