Prof Moyo blasts CCC for its lack of structures

Moyo has described the Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) party as mahumbwe due to its lack of structures.

In a Twitter post yesterday, Professor Moyo said that history had proven that only political parties with clear ideologies and structures would triumph in an election.

“In politics you simply cannot do anything without structures. It is a no brainer. You just cannot do without structures, claiming to be ‘new’, ‘innovative’, with a new way of doing politics in Zimbabwe, that’s a dreamland. There is enough history from around the world to show that in politics, parties that deliver the best results in whatever situation have clear values and ideologies. Structures based on those constitutions as well as clear policies and programmes to achieve common purposes among party members and supporters with different and even conflict interests, led by a diversified, experience and competent team of rivals to make things happen, especially at election time,” said Professor Moyo.

Professor Moyo added that a political party whose only recognized leadership was Nelson Chamisa’s bootlickers was nothing but mahumbwe.

“You just cannot achieve all of this with a team of three or four bootlickers, like Chamisa is trying to do with Mahere (Fadzai Mahere), Ostallos (Gift Siziba) and Chibaya (Amos Chibaya) and assisted by a clueless so- called National Committee handpicked by Chamisa himself, that is just not politics, if it is, then it is most certainly bad politics best described as mahumbwe,” said Moyo.

Moyo further criticized Chamisa’s ideologies as primitive and amateurish.

“In politics, there is no single human being with no interest or no purpose in life. None. The main task or challenge of politicians is to manage and channel different interests and purposes towards shared interest by pursuing common goals through discernible and practical common objectives. Humbimbindoga is just bad news in politics. This idea that in politics you work with people who agree with you is primitive and amateurish,” added Professor Moyo.

Meanwhile, CCC members are complaining over delay by Chamisa to announce names of those who triumphed in the just held candidate selection process and are contemplating standing as independent candidates. Mahumbwe is a Shona word which means child’s play.
