Welshman Ncube faction hunt for Mthwakazi support

…………...as tribalism heightens in CCC

A faction linked to CCC interim co-Vice President, Welshman Ncube is hunting for support from Mthwakazi activists, to make noise over CCC Shona candidates who triumphed during the caucuses held over the weekend.

A source within CCC Bulawayo Province revealed to this publication that the Ndebele candidates who lost to Shona candidates were challenging the outcomes of the caucuses, claiming that Ndebele people were being neutralized in CCC.

“We don’t see the reason why candidates should be labelled Ndebele or Shona whilst we are all CCC. There is no case here. Welshman’s supporters are seeking to divide the party. During Tsvangirai’s time, they left the party and formed MDC-Green, advancing their tribal agenda. To our amazement, they are reviving the same agenda again,” charged the source.

“We are also ready to defend ourselves, we would not let this go. There are people like Ambros Sibindi, who are conniving with the independent panel Commissioner, Rodrick Fayayo, to influence re-run and pave way for Ndebele candidates. Mandla Nyathi on the other hand, is also mobile.

“Efforts by Mandla Nyathi to bus Mthwakazi activists to vote during the just ended caucuses were futile as they failed to turn up. Should the re-runs be held, they are going to be more chaotic and violent because of these Mthwakazi activists.” revealed the source.

Another CCC member who expressed dismay over the continued tribal wars in CCC Bulawayo Province, accused Chamisa of failing to have a grip on his structures.

“Chamisa is too soft that is why Welshman Ncube and his cronies walk over his head. Mthwakazi is Mthwakazi and does not share the same ideology with CCC. If those losing candidates want to join Mthwakazi, they are free to do so, CCC will go on,” lamented the CCC member.

Factionalism in CCC Bulawayo Province has been premised on tribal battles, pitting Ndebele and Shona members. Welshman Ncube leads a faction dominated by Ndebele members who seek to challenge Shona dominance.
