In line with Government`s efforts of leaving no one and no place behind, the Zion Christian Church (ZCC) Mandadzaka, is constructing a US$1 billion dollar state of the art temple in Bikita.

In an interview with this publication the ZCC leader, Bishop Samuel Reuben Makuwa Mutendi, highlighted that their church was complimenting government`s call of building Zimbabwe by building a state-of-the-art temple.

“The President’s motto of developing the country brick by brick is here at Mandadzaka in Chibuku Bhikita, and we have been supporting him since he assumed his office, he is not alone in his efforts to build the country, and the bible commands the church to respect the country’s leadership. In this regard the ZCC is building a state-of-the-art temple at the tune of US$1 billion dollars,” he said.

ZCC Chairman, Maduviko Manyise, stated the measurements of the building highlighting that the modern structure was historical and that it was a living legacy for the church.

“This state-of-the-art building is historical. It is indeed a legacy for our future generation. The building is 75 meters by 54 meters. It is a two-storey building that can accommodate 25 000 seaters, but we want to make it look like a stadium so that it can accommodate more people. We are more than 300 hundred thousand,” Manyise explained

Meanwhile the church pointed out that infrastructure was critical to the growth of a nation.

As one of the African Indigenous Churches, ZCC Mandadzaka is a pro-Government organization that participates in economic, social, and religious projects for the betterment of the society.

The Government has so far embarked on various infrastructure developments, including the construction of high rise storey buildings in rural areas.
