CCC supporters continue to attack Chamisa

Angry Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) supporters have continued to lambast their party leader, Nelson Chamisa for the imposition of candidates ahead of the 2023 harmonized elections.

A source who spoke to this publication revealed that the CCC Organizing Secretary, Amos Chibaya was attacked by CCC supporters at a rally in Mkoba 15 yesterday.  The source disclosed that the angry CCC mob ordered Chibaya to go back as they demanded to see Chamisa so that he could explain the imposition of candidates (particularly the Bulawayo province) and to clarify who are to contest in the 23 August 2023 Harmonized General elections.

According to the source, Chamisa had sent Chibaya to stand in for him in an effort to cool down boiling temperatures of the twitchy CCC supporters following Chamisa`s corrupt imposition of candidates who will contest in the 23 August elections.

“Chamisa is now doomed to lose the election. The CCC leader sent his Organizing Secretary, Amos Chibaya over the weekend to Mkoba 15.  Chibaya`s mission was to explain to the CCC supporters about the candidates that were imposed by Chamisa to stand for the party in the forthcoming elections. Chibaya informed the CCC supporters to support the candidates that were imposed by Chamisa.

“This did not go down well with the CCC mob who then fumed in rage over Chibaya`s sentiments and demanded, instead, Chamisa to come and explain his unjustifiable imposition of candidates to the people, particularly in Bulawayo province or else they will withhold their votes,” said the source.

The source further said that the CCC mob suggested that Chibaya must advise Chamisa to come to the people and apologize by removing all the culprits who connived with him to impose candidates.

Chamisa is accused by his CCC supporters of creating puppets such as Sichelesile Muhlangu, Kucaca Phulu in Nkulumane and Phumula respectively, legislator Happymore Chidziva in Glenview North and Gift Siziba in Phelandaba under the guise that these were youth seats.

CCC vice president, Tendai Biti was also removed in favour of Allan Markham in a race to win that party’s ticket to contest the Harare East parliamentary seat in national elections due next month.
