Speaking to this publication, one citizen from Matabeleland North, Thoko Mlambo criticized Kasukuwere for his decision to appeal to the Supreme Court stating that same just wanted to use the strategy of Gukurahundi as his leverage to ascend to power.

“Truth be told, Saviour Kasukuwere should just forget about appealing at the Supreme Court so as to avoid embarrassment. Who does not know that Kasukuwere is a hypocrite? Here in Matabeleland region, Kasukuwere has no support. He is a selfish person who is now using the Gukurahundi issue as a strategy to garner support in Matabeleland region.

“The Gukurahundi issue must be buried under the carpet. We are now focusing towards building the Zimbabwe we all want. Why would we want to live in the past? Look at what President Emmerson Mnangagwa is doing to uplift the livelihoods of the people. We do not listen to failures. Everyone knows that Kasukuwere failed the nation during his heydays as the Minister of Local Government. The man is wasting his time. Here in Matabeleland region he has no support,” said Mlambo.

The late Itai Dzamara`s daughter, Stacey Dzamara stated that his father was killed by Kasukuwere and vowed to keep on attacking same for what he did to his father.

“As a matter of fact, my father was killed by Saviour Kasukuwere in a bid to silence him from criticizing Mugabe and his G40 cabal that include Kasukuwere, Mzembi and Zhuwao as a result of massive looting and corruption activities that they were involved in, I won`t be silenced,” said Dzamara.

One citizen, Tanatswa Choto indicated that Kasukuwere`s intention was to divide ZANU PF ahead of the forthcoming Harmonised General Elections.

“When the CCC thought Saviour Kasukuwere was going to divide the ZANU PF vote, boom the case is lost. Now gloves are off. ZANU PF is now marching faster towards the victory line on 23 August,” said Choto.

Other citizens have advised Kasukuwere to join the party that delivers stating that opposition parties have nothing to offer to the people and the Zimbabweans now had confidence in the ruling party only.
