In a shocking revelation that has sent shockwaves through the nation's political and social circles, Nelson Chamisa, the charismatic leader of the Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) opposition party, has been allegedly involved in an extra-marital affair with Tsungai Chekero, a Seventh Day Adventist lady residing in the Avonlea neighbourhood.

Rumours of the affair started circulating earlier this week, as whispers and speculations began to swirl around the interactions between Chamisa and Tsungai Chekero.

Details about the alleged affair have slowly emerged, with sources claiming that the connection between Chamisa and Chekero was established by Advocate Thabani Mpofu, a well-known legal figure with ties to the opposition leader.

A CCC inside confided in this publication that the affair's revelation has cast a shadow over Chamisa's political aspirations, especially as he is gearing up for this year's presidential elections.

“Chamisa has long been seen as a promising candidate who could potentially challenge the ruling party's dominance, but this scandal threatens to undermine his credibility and public image,” said the source.

Adding further controversy to the situation, it is alleged that Chamisa made derogatory comments about his wife, Sithokozile, claiming that she was "too old" to assume the role of First Lady if he were to win the presidency.

“These comments have sparked outrage among various groups, including women's rights activists and supporters of Chamisa's party, who are concerned about the disrespectful and dismissive nature of the statement,” added the source.

The alleged affair and Chamisa's comments have led to widespread condemnation from political opponents, as well as calls for transparency and accountability from his own party members.

Some critics argue that his behaviour contradicts the values and principles he claims to uphold as a political leader.

Meanwhile, both Chamisa and Advocate Thabani Mpofu have not officially responded to these allegations as of yet.

However, the public awaits their statements regarding the affair and the comments attributed to Chamisa about his wife.

As the story continues to develop, it remains to be seen how this scandal will impact Chamisa's standing in the upcoming elections and whether his party will continue to support him amidst these controversies.
