Members of Parliament showered accolades on the Government's commendable strides in infrastructure development during a comprehensive tour of the Mbudzi Interchange construction site spearheaded by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure Development.

This visit, which took place yesterday, provided MPs with firsthand insights into the remarkable progress achieved at this critical junction.

Epworth South legislator, Taedzwa Mutana, expressed enthusiasm for the advancements witnessed at the Mbudzi Interchange.

Dismissing unfounded claims circulating on social media regarding cracks in semi-constructed bridges, MP Mutana clarified, "Today, we toured the construction site, and we have all seen the structures, dispelling any misinformation perpetuated on social media platforms."

Highlighting the life-saving potential of the interchange, Honourable Mutanwa emphasized its significance in preventing tragedies that had previously occurred on the old Mbudzi road.

He asserted, "This interchange will save lives, eliminating challenges for commuters heading to Chitungwiza, Harare Central Business District (CBD), Glen Norah, and Masvingo."

Joining the chorus of appreciation, Hunyani MP, Tongai Mnangagwa, lauded the Mbudzi Interchange as a source of employment for the people of Harare South.

Honourable Mnangagwa commended the project for prioritizing local resources, including the use of pit sand, steel, and concrete, as well as engaging local companies.

He expressed satisfaction, stating, "I praise our Government for adhering to the President's mantra, 'nyika inovakwa nevene vayo,' ensuring Zimbabwean labour, construction companies, and resources contribute to this monumental project."

Meanwhile, the Mbudzi Interchange stands as a testament to the Government's dedication to fostering economic growth, job creation, and environmental sustainability. As the project progresses, it not only promises improved transportation routes but also serves as a beacon of progress in the nation's continuous journey towards enhanced infrastructure and connectivity.
