President Emmerson Mnangagwa is propelling Zimbabwe towards economic and societal advancement through Heritage Based Education 5.0 Initiative, the Harare Post can report.
Through his visionary leadership, President Mnangagwa underscored the pivotal role of education in driving Africa’s growth trajectory, fostering peace, and combating poverty.
President Mnangagwa, emphasized on the importance of integrating Zimbabwe’s rich heritage with modern educational practices highlighting that it signals a transformative shift towards empowerment and forward-thinking.
“This underscores the centrality of education as a critical driver to propel Africa’s development, modernisation, industrialization and indeed prosperity.
“A robust, relevant and responsive education system further facilitates for economic growth, peace, equality and the eradication of poverty,” said the President.
Furthermore, the President described the Heritage Based Education 5.0 as a transformational and mind shifting approach that empowers people.
“Hence, under my Administration, the Heritage Based Education 5.0 Model is not just an educational philosophy, it is a transformational and mind shifting approach that empowers our people to appreciate their foundational roots, understand their place in the world and envision a modern future,” he said.
Moreover, the President urged authorities in the education sector and communities to safeguard and promote Zimbabwe’s heritage and entrench the principles in the Heritage based education 5.0 model from the lower level up to the higher level.
“Our education systems must embrace, safeguard and promote our heritage while integrating our heritage with science, innovation and technology.
“I challenge our communities and stakeholders in the education system from primary level right up to tertiary education to be deliberate and bold in the manner we nurture and entrench the principles espoused under the Heritage Based Education 5.0 Model,” said President Mnangagwa.
By prioritizing the Heritage Based Education 5.0 model, which fosters a deep appreciation for Zimbabwean heritage, while embracing innovation and technology, President Mnangagwa aims to equip Zimbabweans with the knowledge and skills necessary to thrive in the modern world.
