Open letter to Promise Mkwananzi

I understand you and your allies intended to stage a five-day national shutdown in Zimbabwe. Over the past week, a video of you and two other unidentified men circulated on the social media, where you were inciting citizens not to report for work from 1 to 5 July 2019. Unfortunately, Zimbabweans never heeded your call because they are not stupid people who just fall for everything.

To be very frank with you, your #Tajamuka outfit lost its taste and relevance long ago. It was long back in 2016 when you incited people to participate in violent protests and the looting of shops that people would listen to you.  Citizens have opened their eyes and ears widely and they now know that you and your cronies are just activists who are after donor funds.

It is known that your sponsors are regime change agents, who are targeting to overthrow a constitutionally elected Government.

It is now an open secret that an organisation called Action Support Centre in Johannesburg, South Africa, is funding all of your activities. As it stands, more than 80 of your fellow activists received money ranging from USD $2000-$5000 from that organisation. Action Support Centre, in turn, is being funded from Netherlands and Australia.

In addition, you and your sponsors wish to promote an uprising in the country. You want people to suffer so that they will later revolt against the Government.

Promise; get this right. The people ignored your call for a nonsensical national shut down because you are clueless. Honestly who are you to force some businesses and schools to close for the whole week? Worse off, you are not even in Zimbabwe. You overate the influence that you had three years ago forgetting that Zimbabweans have since realized that have since moved on from the events of the old dispensation.

If you are not aware, President Emmerson Mnangagwa is working tirelessly to turn around the fortunes of this country. Zimbabwe is recovering and very soon all the economic challenges currently facing the nation will be a thing of the past.

My last word to you is, love your country, embrace the projects being implemented by the Government, promote peace and stop being used by regime change agents.

Forewarned is fore armed.
