Trump pushes for poll postponement

By Staff reporter

In what political analysts have termed “election phobia”, the United States of America President, Donald Trump launched a spirited effort to postpone November elections claiming it will be the "most inaccurate and fraudulent in history."

Trump is citing the country’s “poor planning” for increased postal voting amid the coronavirus pandemic, as the reason for delaying the polls.

Trump tweeted: "With Universal Mail-In Voting (not Absentee Voting, which is good), 2020 will be the most INACCURATE & FRAUDULENT Election in history.

"It will be a great embarrassment to the USA. Delay the Election until people can properly, securely and safely vote???"

Coached by USA, the MDC has been coming up with unthinkable demands before, during and after every election in Zimbabwe, since the year 2 000.The status quo being refusing to accept elections outcomes citing rigging, intimidation and other nefarious accusations.

Political analyst, Kundai Masekesa said there had always been an umbilical code between USA and the MDC.

“It’s quite a revelation. What the mother (USA) does the child (MDC) do the same during pregnancy, including consuming the same food and drink. This explains why pregnant mothers are discouraged from taking alcohol or smoking.

“The MDC has been emulating the wrong things from their masters,” Masekesa said.

Patience Rashai, another political analyst said like the MDC, Trump was hallucinating.

"Never in American history - not even during the Civil War and World War Two - has there been a successful move to 'Delay the Election' for the President.

“Only the passage of an act by the US Congress can change the date of an election, and there is zero chance that this divided Congress will do that.  His machinations will not see the light of the day. He fears imminent defeat,” Rashai said.

Trump recently hinted that he would not accept the outcome of November elections.
