He advised the auditorium that he was impressed by the Rwanda Government which has its development board led by a woman. President Mnangagwa said he was very confident that that calibre of women could be found in Zimbabwe.

“When l visited my Rwanda Counterpart, President Paul Kagame, he introduced me to Claire Kamanzi, a woman in charge of the Development Board to give me notes. I was impressed,” he said.

In appreciation of women empowerment, President Mnangagwa has hinted that he would need to have a contingent of articulate women in his delegation for global networking.

President Mnangagwa said that women were less corrupt as compared to his men counterpart and therefore, has urged women to develop keen interest in serving the nation.

“I know some of women do not like public life. It is an individual decision yes but we need you,” he said to a round of applause from the auditorium.

President Mnangagwa called on the women in the Diaspora to come back and help build the nation. He emphasised that from the brain drain that the country suffered in the previous years, the return of the diaspora community will assist in brain gain.
