16 ZESA officials sent on forced leave

Government has intensified its blitz on public fund looters as 16 top Zimbabwe Electricity Supply Authority (ZESA) officials were served with letters of forced leave pending an ongoing Forensic Audit by Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PWC).

ZESA Chief Executive Officer was served with a letter to give way to investigations and therefore is said to have taken a vacation leave.

Other top officials affected include: ZESA Financial controller Eliab Chikwenhere, Projects Manager Flora Chikonye, ZETDC Director Howard Choga, ZETDC Managing Director Julian Chinembiri, ZEDTC Finance Director Thoko Dhliwayo, Engineer Bukhosi Siso Wilfred Shereni, ZESA Enterprises Operations Manager Philimon Dhafana, ZESA Enterprise Managing Director Teererai Louis Mutasa, ZESA Enterprise Finance Director Farai Tichawangana, ZESA Divisional Manager Loveness Kunaka, Hubert Chiwara, ZPC Director Joshua Chirikutsi, ZPC Projects Manager Cleophas Fambi and Master Electrician Clayton Muzavazi.

ZESA Board Chairman, Herbet Murerwa advised ZESA staffers of the development through a circular which was availed in the afternoon.

In the meantime, Engineer Patrick Chivaura is the Acting Group Chief Executive Officer.
