Mobile internet usage has also been on a continuous upsurge since 2016, Ministry of Information, Publicity and Broadcasting has revealed.

“POTRAZ reported that mobile internet and data usage increased by 89.8% to 15.4 billion megabytes in 2017 from 8.1 billion megabytes of data consumed in 2016. The move by POTRAZ to penalise mobile operators has been supported by users of these mobile networks as some stated that monitoring and penalising these mobile operators will ensure they do not short change mobile network users through improving their service provision to meet POTRAZ regulations, Harare Post has learnt.
