Nkululeko must walk the talk: Netizens

MDC Spokesperson Nkululeko Sibanda`s tweet in which he compared President Emmerson Mnangagwa`s administration to that of Robert Mugabe has been castigated by many netizens on social media an indication that the MDC does not walk the talk.

Sibanda has indicated that MDC leader Nelson Chamisa has a 5-point-plan to Zimbabwe`s success which encompasses international Re-engagement, political legitimacy, constitutionalism, integrity of elections and institutional independence.

Netizens have highlighted that Chamisa is the opposite of the 5-point plan stated by Sibanda because he ascended to his current position through force and not respecting the will of the people in the MDC party.

Sibanda posted, “We must admit that Mnangagwa is a bit different to Mugabe. He is slightly worse and out of his depth. How does he not understand that governmental legitimacy underwrites economic re-invigoration? President Chamisa`s 5point-plan is key to Zim`s success.”

He added by giving Chamisa`s 5-Point Plan  which are, Political legitimacy, Integrity of Elections, Constitutionalism, International Re-engagement and Institutional Independence-Chapter 12 and 13.

Tinashe Vuso in response to Nkululeko Sibanda`s tweet, posted “It is funny when Chamisa talks about constitutionalism yet he threw his own party`s constitution to steal power at a funeral tikwanirei, (it needs reasoning) legitimacy does not come from him and his party but from institutions who are mandated by law to do so.”

Brighton Mushekwa in relation to Vuso`s response posted, “Constitutionalism ndoyaarambazve handi haadi kudyiwa here.”(Chamisa is against constitutionalism and he does not accept defeat).

MDC-T President Thokozani Khupe in March this year after the death of MDC T founder Morgan Tsvangirai said that she is the rightful candidate for the party. Khupe who was by then the party`s Vice President referring to Chamisa said, “It is a sad reality that some of our party members have resorted to violence for the love of power. We have argued that those who want to lead must subject themselves to a congress.

“They have refused because they know they will lose and that is why they are resorting to violence. But we will not be deterred .If anything, this has emboldened us because our people have said we must not back down. We will fight and win this election. We are the true MDC which does not discriminate,” she said.

Chamisa is on record of hiring and firing his party leadership wittingly. He fired Victoria Falls Mayor Somvelo Dhlamini after he was voted in by eight Councillors. Chamisa wanted Margret Varley to stand for the Mayoral elections.

The MDC supporters have also derailed Chamisa stating that he does not respect the will of the people. On 30 July 2018 elections ,Chamisa imposed members of house assembly to contest and it was against the will of the party, a situation that saw his imposed candidates lose dismally to ZANU PF democratically elected candidates.
