ZANU PF policies meant to uplift populace- Bimha

ZANU PF acting Spokesperson, Dr Mike Bimha yesterday told journalists that contrary to some media reports, that the Party is no longer popular, the ruling party actually continues to attract new and old members due to its sound policies that are meant to uplift the general populace.

Briefing the media yesterday at the Party’s Headquarters in Harare, Cde Bimha said the people-centred policies of the revolutionary ZANU PF party continue to attract new membership ahead of 2023 elections, with 1 000 people having joined the party from the opposition over weekend.

“Contrary to the claims by the opposition parties and overzealous political commentators that ZANU PF is lethargic and incapable of attracting new members, the party is receiving overwhelming inquiries from many people that wish to join the party. Over the weekend, a number of people defected to the revolutionary party due to its sound policies, which are meant to uplift the general populace with 400 members from Manicaland Province, 400 from Midlands and 200 members from Marondera joined the party,”  said Cde Bimha.

Dr Bimha added that ZANU PF is determined to achieve its developmental goals through its positive, progressive and inclusive policies.

The ruling party continues to attract new members who are being charmed by its development mantra adopted over the years to transform people’s lives.

Under the leadership of President Emmerson Mnangagwa, who is also the First Secretary of the Party, the country has witnessed steady infrastructure development, stable economic environment and employment creation among other things.

Meanwhile, ZANU PF Youth League executive recently stated that Zimbabwe is now on its way to economic transformation anchored on President Mnangagwa’s Vision 2030.
