First Lady conferred with an Honorary Doctorate

The First Lady of the Republic of Zimbabwe Dr. Auxillia Mnangagwa has been conferred with an Honorary Doctorate degree from G.D Goenka University of Gurugram, Haryana in India.

Speaking through a statement, Chief Secretary to the President and Cabinet Dr Misheck Sibanda congratulated the First Lady on her achievements that have won her the recognition.

“As an Office at the apex of Government, we are excited and proud to be associated with Dr Auxillia Mnangagwa`s phenomenal achievements in philanthropic and humanitarian work which have touched and changed several lives.

 “Indeed, her recognition by the University of G.D Goenka, India, for her exemplary contribution to the welfare and status of the girl child, her extraordinary passion and significant contribution to the marginalized communities in our country as well as overall service to humanity, should be embraced and celebrated,” said Dr Sibanda.

Meanwhile, the First Lady has exhibited indefatigable energy by traversing the lengths and breaths of our country, partly to impart moral and cultural values to our young citizens and several other initiatives touching and transforming the lives and livelihoods of the citizens.
